Investment Management

Strategic. Disciplined. Built Around You.

Your financial life is the sum of decades of decisions, each carrying consequences for your family and extending well beyond your own financial security. At New England Private Wealth Advisors, LLC (NEPWA), we take a strategic, long-term approach to investment management. We don’t pick individual securities and aren’t simply trying to beat the market. Instead, we construct fully customized portfolios around your specific goals, your risk tolerance, and the people depending on you to get this right.

Our Investment Philosophy

NEPWA utilizes a hybrid approach, including both active and passive/index strategies, calibrated to each client’s circumstances:

  • Passive index-based strategies provide low-cost, tax-efficient exposure across broad, well-researched asset classes where markets are generally efficient.
  • Active strategies are deployed where we believe they can potentially add incremental value net of fees.

This balance is intentional. By combining both approaches, we seek to capture broad market participation while retaining the flexibility to pursue targeted opportunities. For qualified clients, alternative and private investments  may expand the investment universe to potentially add additional sources of return and diversification beyond traditional markets.

Depth Across Every Asset Class

We primarily leverage mutual funds and ETFs to create well-diversified, tax-efficient portfolios. Our platform also includes access to:

Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), including direct indexing and options overlay strategies through specialist managers, for concentrated wealth and tax-sensitive situations

Alternative and private investments, including private credit, private real estate, infrastructure, and hedge fund strategies, for qualified clients seeking additional diversification and income

Proprietary Income SMA: NEPWA manages a globally diversified, income-focused, multi-asset managed account that seeks to deliver tax-efficient monthly income and maintain broad diversification across markets

Each tool is selected deliberately, matched to the client’s tax situation, liquidity needs, and long-term objectives.

Access to Private and Alternative Markets

In appropriate scenarios, we may expand a client’s diversification through alternative strategies.

Private Credit

From senior secured lending to specialty finance, we access the full spectrum of private credit strategies.

Private Real Estate Equity and Debt

We invest across the capital stack in institutional-quality real estate portfolios, targeting tax-efficient income from cash-flowing properties across a range of sectors and structures.

Infrastructure

Essential assets. Stable revenues. We invest in the physical backbone of modern economies, from utilities to data networks.

Hedge Fund Strategies

We provide access to diversified alternative strategies designed to complement, rather than mirror, a conventional portfolio.

Specialized Investment Strategies

Complex financial situations sometimes call for more than a standard portfolio. For clients navigating concentrated positions, significant capital gains, or illiquid assets, we work to implement strategies tailored to the specific problem at hand.

Direct Indexing

If your portfolio carries embedded gains, every sale has a cost. Direct indexing allows us to track an index at the individual stock level, proactively harvesting losses along the way to offset gains elsewhere in your portfolio, keeping more of what you have earned.

Tax-Aware Long/Short Strategies

For clients seeking equity market exposure with a sharper focus on after-tax outcomes, these strategies combine long and short positions to pursue returns while deliberately managing the timing of gains and losses. Funding is flexible, including in-kind transfers of appreciated stock.

Customized Options Overlay

A concentrated stock position can feel like a problem with no clean solution. Options strategies can generate income or provide downside protection on a concentrated position, without triggering a sale.

1031 Exchange to 721 UPREIT

For owners of investment real estate looking to exit without triggering a large capital gains event, this structure allows you to sell, defer taxes, and ultimately convert your ownership into a professionally managed, diversified real estate portfolio.

These decisions rarely exist in isolation. A concentrated stock position affects your tax plan. A real estate exit affects your income. Your income affects your estate. We coordinate across all of it.

Institutional Access. Independent Advice.

Every recommendation we make is based solely on what we believe serves the client best.

That independence gives us the freedom to partner with established investment managers, including Vanguard, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, PIMCO, BlackRock, T. Rowe Price, Goldman Sachs, and First Eagle Investments, and to seek access to institutional share classes and pricing for our clients when possible.

A Fee-Based Approach Aligned with Your Interests

When the decisions you make today will affect your family for decades, you deserve an advisor with nothing to sell and no agenda beyond your own. NEPWA is a fee-based wealth advisor, which means every recommendation we make is driven entirely by what we believe is right for you and the people depending on you.
