Ira Rapaport, CPA/PFS, CIMA®, CFP®, AIF® Chief Executive Officer
Ira founded NEPWA in 2005 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since its inception. He provides leadership and mentorship across the firm, fosters a collaborative culture, and works closely with senior leaders on strategic direction.
Ira feels fortunate to have cultivated enduring client relationships and a supportive team environment at NEPWA. He finds it is extremely fulfilling to know NEPWA has a meaningful impact on the lives of so many clients, whom he also considers to be his friends.
Prior to founding NEPWA, Ira served as President of Boston Private Financial Advisors and held roles at Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche. Ira received a BBA in Accounting from UMass Amherst, and he attended Bentley University for his Master of Taxation.
Ira holds several professional certifications. He is a Certified Public Accountant with Personal Financial Specialist credentials, a Certified Investment Management Analyst®, a Certified Financial Planner®, and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®.
Ira is originally from West Peabody, MA and raised his family in Sharon, MA. He and his wife have two adult children. He enjoys pickleball, golf, and Boston sports, especially the Celtics and Patriots.
